Create your own canvas art!
While our designers are constantly busy creating new designs for our canvas artwork, from floral pieces to sweeping landscapes, geometric shapes to pop art, one of our most popular services is the ability to make your own photo on canvas. Photos on canvas not only offer a unique way to turn your photographs or digital designs into top-quality wall art - they are excellent gift ideas, and a beautiful way to immortalize an important event, place, or thing. Which would you rather have - photographs of your wedding, or a series of photos turned into true artwork mounted on canvas prints?
Our designers can take a standard photo and twist, tweak, and edit it to your liking. Any modern digital camera has resolution high enough to be able to increase the size of the photograph drastically, and is perfect for mounting on relatively large sized canvas. This, coupled with the fact that we use only the highest grade materials and professional mounting techniques, will ensure that your photographs and designs turn out exactly the way you want them. We can even add various effects, from glamour shots to pop art newspaper pointillism, to achieve the desired look. There are virtually no limits to the type of wall art you can create with photos on canvas, and our experience combined with your creativity will end in a piece of artwork you won't forget.
Canvas artwork offers a new and exciting way to create your own memories, but there are other uses as well. For example, we have been commissioned by a variety of professional photographers for gallery prints, as canvas provides a subtle texture and a unique look for photographs. If you want to display your work in a different way than many photographs provide, canvas prints are a great alternative.
Regardless of the effect you're looking for, photo on canvas's malleability when it comes to style provides an excellent way to get your work to look exactly the way you want it to. Our canvas prints are very reasonably priced, and are built to last. They come coated with a museum-quality protective that makes them glossy and durable, with water and light resistance. The next time you want a way to turn your photos and artwork into true wall art that will be genuinely eye-catching (and liven up virtually any room), consider using canvas artwork.

What makes our canvas art special?
There are lots of decisions to make when it comes to choosing what type of canvas art you want to hang. Paintings, posters, photographs, and other forms of artwork each offer a distinct style, and all give a room a different feel. However, there is one type of artwork that is quite uncommon, but is rapidly gaining popularity throughout Europe, specifically in the United Kingdom. Canvas artwork offers a unique approach to wall art, and has a bold, striking style that is sure to catch attention in any room. Whether it's a landscape or a portrait, pop art or geometric shapes, canvas art provides a contrast to other art forms with its clean-cut sense of depth.
Canvas prints are available in a variety of different styles, with a wide range of artistic influences. All of our designs are created in the studio, and the business is family owned and operated to ensure that every piece is original and unique. We even offer a photo on canvas service that will allow you to send in your own photographs or designs and have them turned into canvas art, which make great gift ideas or an excellent way to immortalize an event. The photos on canvas service also allows you to add various types of effects and extra elements for greater customization, from glamour shots to pop art colors, so that you can experience your photos in a completely new way.
The canvas artwork offered on our site is very reasonably priced, especially with some of the pieces being so large, but quality is never sacrificed during the process. We use only the highest grade canvas and a professional mounting technique that has come from over ten years of framing and design experience, to ensure that any piece you order is guaranteed to last. We also use a high-quality protective agent to make the canvas somewhat waterproof and light resistant.
Canvas art is an excellent addition to any room, and can liven up an otherwise dull living room or give a calming, peaceful air to a bedroom. Our artists and designers are influenced by a number of different artists and aspects of life, and there is sure to be something to suit virtually anyone's style. We are constantly coming up with new designs as well, so even if you can't find the kind of art you're looking for, be sure to check back periodically. Labels: about canvas republic, canvas art

I was treated to something very special recently, with the introduction of a certain type of five piece canvas prints set, but I want to cover that last because it's so uniquely and expertly done. Until then, let's go over some of the five piece canvas prints sets available, as well as some of the philosophy behind the separation of art pieces for greater artistic effect. canvas art is not an exceptionally new art medium. Especially with modern printing technology, it can be easy to produce and replicate multiple pieces of art with relatively low cost. That said, it also allows us to do things that no other art medium has really allowed before, such as exact image replication and separation. While it was certainly possible with photography, and while a lot of canvas art is based off of or includes photography, the popularization of canvas art in the 1960's (largely on the part of Andy Warhol) made the repetition of images a thematic element in art. Now, people have found ways to take advantage of that repetition and turn it from something critical (Andy Warhol's repetition in art was largely a commentary on mass production and conformity in society) to something beautiful. These canvas prints are hung, generally, around three inches away from one another. This separation can change the art drastically, from making it more cohesive, gentle, and graceful, to creating a chaotic instability that all but destroys the original intent of the print. That said, multiple-piece sets should be done carefully, and certainly not all art works in separations like that. The best iterations of multiple-piece sets, especially large five piece sets, are ones that are conducive to either a long or tall shape, such as landscapes. Now, the other day I noticed something I'd never noticed before. There were five piece sets available in cascading formations. This means that there are two end pieces, slightly larger pieces between those, and a single large piece in the center. This gives landscape canvas prints an incredible sense of depth, and pieces like Aureus II and Ionia really spring to life when spread out like this. The novelty of taking a single, continuous image and resizing it over several pieces of art has never been taken advantage of, because without computer imaging technology it was relatively impossible. For a chance to see these amazing prints, take a look at our website. Labels: canvas art, canvas prints, quintych canvas prints
Canvas Prints - Three Piece Sets One of the nice things about canvas art is that it is often designed to create a pattern or shape over several individual pieces of art. Three piece sets are some of the most popular iterations of canvas art, and in this brief review we'll take a look at some of the best sets from the gallery. It takes a certain kind of framing and initial shape to properly execute a separated set of canvas prints, but when it's done well it creates a lovely effect. Some of my favorite three piece sets of modern canvas prints actually include pieces I've mentioned before. For example, Noriko, the black, tan, and red piece with the dead trees, can be seen as a three piece set and works beautifully as one. Altitude, the New York stylized cityscape, also works very well as multiple separate pieces. However, some pieces that are less impressive as singular pieces really come to life when they are separated. If you’ve ever heard the turn of phrase, "greater than the sum of its parts", then these are the opposite of that phrase. Enos, for example, is a green, white and black floral print that as a standalone piece, is simply not that incredible. When it is separated, however, the white and black clusters of flowers move independent of each other, and come together in the center. It really gives the canvas prints a sense of movement and grace, and even very simple color-based paintings like Samba spring into action when the two sides meet in the middle. Conversely, some pictures take on a more chaotic tone when separated, such as in Haruko. This piece loses all sense of cohesion, and the grey, black, and yellow-orange hues seem to float around aimlessly. Similarly, Karta is normally a simple plant shoot, but when separated each piece seems to live independently of the other. The modern art and abstract pieces come together fantastically, as in Monte Carlo and Intra, and one of my favorite pieces before, Traska, is arguably also one of my favorite three piece sets. All of these canvas prints are enjoyable on their own, but some of them take on a whole new quality when made into sets. To see these and a large selection of other canvas art pieces, please visit our website. There is something sure to compliment the taste and style of interior design for virtually everyone. Canvas Prints From Your Photo Creating your own photo on canvas can be significantly harder than people think. While the art itself is not always particularly hard to produce with modern technology - any image can be printed on canvas and mounted - the actual process and cost of printing, buying, and framing a canvas print is extremely difficult, and leaves little margin for error. In fact, one of the most frustrating sights any artist or would-be artist can see is an image on canvas with a big rip or stretch mark in it. In this article, we’ll go over how you can go about ordering a print for a surprisingly low price, and avoid all the hassle and stress of trying to do it yourself. The array of options for making your own photos to canvas are truly astounding. Sending in a standard photo to be made into a piece of canvas art will allow the artists to edit your image for color, sharpness, contrast, and anything else that will help your image really stand out in your home. Options for black and white photos also exist, and for that ancient photo look, vintage sepia (or warm sepia, if you really like sepia). Glamour portraits will allow the artists to airbrush out imperfections in skin and hair tones, touch up lighting, and soften and sharpen focus where necessary. Vintage pop art, in the style of artists like Andy Warhol, is also available in canvas art form. Send in a photo of a friend or loved one, or even of yourself, and the artists will turn it into a stylized version of the image you might expect to see in the New York Museum of Modern Art. They can also convert it to a modern pop art feeling, with bold color contrasts and blending. The artists can even dot mesh it for a pointillism look, where standing across the room produces an image out of pixels that make no sense up close. Your photos can also be converted and spread across three canvas prints, to be hung independently and spaced apart, producing a unique effect. There are several photo wrapping techniques for the edges, as well. Canvas prints allow the creator to stretch the image around the frame itself, creating a unique look for landscape photos or abstract art. For these and more approaches to personalised canvas art, have a look around our website, where there is surely something to pique the interest of virtually anyone. Abstract art might seem easy to create, since many of the designs and shapes are so simple. However, the goal of art is to evoke an emotional response of some kind, and a lot of abstract art leaves people feeling only confused and disappointed. It takes a lot of skill to get someone to feel an emotion from looking at three diagonal brush strokes, but when it works, it really works. In this brief article, we’ll go over some of the abstract canvas art available today, and what it takes to do it well. The abstract canvas art you’ll see is in several styles – these include geometric designs, such as Casino, as well as Baroque and Damask patterns that are found in Serrano prints. Some prints are inspired by the last century’s abstract work, and feature bold, geometric shapes like in Voodoo. There are a lot of different styles and color schemes available, from the colored bars that are meant to evoke a certain place, smell, or even sound, such as the Cappuccino and Vegas prints. Floral prints are also popular, such as the Botan and Avalon. One of my personal favorites of the canvas prints in the show is Noriko, a set of thin, spindly, leafless trees set against three horizontal bars going from red to tan to red. It elicits a sort of urgency, a sense of speed, despite the immobility of the foreground. It almost gives the impression that one is running through a dead forest. Traska is very similar, with a set of long black pikes rising from some black rubble. The background is mostly red, with a thin stripe of white along the bottom. Ascension II features a flock of birds against a blue and grey background, and evokes a sense of movement without having any. These canvas prints are less accessible than the majority of those you’ll see, and might simply confuse or bore some, but when they work, they really work. Having a simple geometric shape to compliment a room can bring it all together, and a collection of basic images can have strong emotional connotations. The prints come in a variety of colors and styles, but are heavy on the blues and reds, which are perhaps the strongest, emotionally, of the basic colors. Don't miss the fifth series of the ever-popular 60 Minute Makeover on ITV! You know the drill; thoughtful soul organises a home makeover for deserving friend/relative. Interior design nirvana is then achieved with the help of a professional designer and presenter Terri Dwyer (if you're struggling to remember what you've seen her in before, it's Hollyoaks.) None were more deserving than Ron and Lil from Poole, who have had a pretty tough time with their son, Joe. He was born perfectly normal but at only two weeks old he contracted meningitis. Joe is now six years old and is severely brain damaged, needing constant care. Ron's sister Carol decided to give them a 60 Minute Makeover. We supplied several canvas prints for the show and designer Richard Randall did a great job. If you'd like to to see the episode again, you watch it on the 60 Minute Makeover site.
